Attraction is make-or-break for me. I've tried going forward when it wasn't there, and I found it never formed.

It has with time, for others, though.

Where's "laugh a lot together" is rare on a first meeting, but does tend to come soon.

From my experience... not at all. I have dated lots of guys that I was physically attracted to, yet, there was absolutely no chemistry. One guy had a body so hot, I was like... OMG, this guy was so cute... but, thud in the conversation department.

Then, other guys that I have dated would definitely not fit my definition of physically attractive (big pot bellies, balding, etc.), but the intelligence and communication just rocked me, so the chemistry was definitely there... and attraction grew out of those other things... not based on the physical.

Right now I'd settle for either.

ok....so my two cents.

i learned when i was younger that when you are on the pill, you will be attracted to different men than when you are not. it was based on a chemical/pheromone kind of reaction. i saw a dip in my attraction when i stopped taking the pill for my husband. so....whether it was a "you thought it would happen so that is what you saw" kind of thing or actually had a basis in science, i can't say.

interesting though. and hey....what about perfumes and their affect on our libido?

and what about perfumes and the mix with any certain man/woman's chemistry and that affect or lack of?

Physical attraction is an important part of romantic chemistry - but it's possible to find someone physically attractive but have no chemistry with them.
