Can someone tell me who are they? Does anyone know anything about the people who find matches or the way EH works? I am confused. VERY. Dating Experts? BASED on personal experience I think I'd be better of just READING and not posting. I am thinking that this is informal writing but words can be harped on heavily.

I tell you what. I certainly hope its no relation with eharmony advice and my eharmony account because if it is, I am in DEEP SERIOUS TROUBLE. Prehaps its done by a computer? I don't know but trust me when I say. I am VERY afraid.

Well, you just met our #1 dating expert. And believe me, you will want to wring his neck at some point really soon.

The forum title is Ask a Dating Expert but it's just people from the community. Everything posted here is just people from the community and their individual opinions.

I'm sorry if you didn't find the information that was posted in response to your thread helpful, but some people may have responded as much to the tone as to the substance of your post.

There are a couple of places with information about posting. Don't know if they'll be helpful to you but they are:

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/gr...e-newbies.html

and

Community Guidelines for eHarmony Advice

For information on using eHarmony, this forum is set up (again...just people from the community posting):

Hi, and welcome to the boards...

If you are talking about the "Ask a dating expert" forum here on the eH Advice boards, that's a bit of a misnomer. Unless a thread is a follow-up to an invited eHA feature thread, the respondents are simply members of the community here speaking from their own experience. Sometimes they provide excellent advice, and sometimes they don't. So, the best approach is to take the input and decide for yourself which of it is worth considering.

With respect to how eH (the dating service, not this advice board) works, you can find good information about that on the eH site itself. Here is a good link to get you started: http://www.eharmony.com/why

Thank you. As for *ME* ...and only me. I just need to read & not post for right now. I am trying to see if there is a privacy something here...I looked and I cant find it. But I am going to try again. So, but thanks again. I am trying SO hard to watch the words I type. Its not easy, but until I learn...I am just going to play it safe.

There really isn't any need to *not* post unless you just don't want to. Just remember that everyone else gets to as well, and sometimes that can yield results that one doesn't necessarily expect.

As for privacy...you can go to the Account Settings tab and explore the options there. There's no way to hide your profile once it's been created, though.
