Honesty....... pick up lines could be an all out HIT!! with some chicks or a complete DISASTER!!....... timing is critical, trust me.......i'm not the king for nothing.

How about the old standards?

"If I told you that you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?"

"Excuse me, I seemed to have lost my number, can I have yours?"

"Can I borrow a quarter? I want to call my mother and tell her I'm in love."

Seriously, these are cute - but honesty IS the correct way to go! I'm 53 and still very shy and have never approached a woman by myself before. But when I am in a group, we try to find a group of girls to hang with at a bar or a park or anywhere. That usually helps me open up. Stay honest guys - and be sincere and passionate about yourself. Don't be afraid to laugh at yourself and add a little humor to the conversation. There's nothing more beautiful that a woman smiling and laughing back at you! Trust me on this!

Ailey, Rick, Joelle are on track. Please. If a women were to respond to any of these lines you must desire to be infected with some untreatable fungus. Honesty is best for long term. If all you are after is a night, well then you get what you deserve with

That was funny, Pete, but that's about it. Pick up lines can be just that.... a quick laugh (or not) and then I just look at the guy wondering "wow, a pick up line... how cheesey". I prefer genuine conversation and to start that usually requires a nice greeting of some sort.

Uh -
Joelle & Rick are right HONESTY ALL THE WAY!!! While some of these lines would leave me rolling with laughter - they wouldn't get you anywhere. Honesty would though!

Joe's line:"Can I get a picture of you, so I can tell Santa what I want for Christmas."
During Christmas time would be perfect. Delivered in ther right way it's funny enough to get her laughing and talking.


Alec's line: "if you were a booger, I'd pick you first." Hilarious as well...if delivered correctly. The genius of it is that it fits the m.o. of the true pick up artist. A woman expects you to kiss her butt to pick her up. So, when you do the opposite, she's pleasantly surprised. If delivered correctly to the right girl, she'll be impressed that you "risked" disgusting her or turning her off.
Actually scratch all that: It'd just be a great line to deliver just to be obnoxious.

Overall, I agree that honesty is the best policy. It's also how sincere your delivery is. You could be a sleeze and say, "Hey baby. Can I buy you a drink?" or you can respond to something incredibly cool that she did, high five her and say, "You rock! I gotta buy you a drink!"

you guys are all nerds! take it from me, an expert, that all you should do is be real. and dont be shy about it. but dont be corny eaither. the ideal thing to say is just "hey, what's up? i'm rick (for example) i was wondering if you wanted to talk for a while?" just be real and that will get you further than any annoying pick-up line mk? mk.
