No dates. One long distance "good bye". Had one match initiate communication and was very surprised, he doesn't seem like someone that would be attracted to a "country girl" like me.

I made lasagna. Oh, and bought new pillows and mattress pad. Gosh what a boring weekend. Hopefully this week will be better.

No dates to report.

I am kind of thinking that in order to participate in the Dating Experiment one would have to actually have a date at least sometime during the experiment.

I got engaged this wekend!

Engaged in another house project, tiling the bathroom floor. Let's just say the weekend was not so much fun.

DOH I forgot to talk about MY weekend! lol
Guess it's time for some more caffeine...

I had a pretty good weekend, went to a Breast Cancer charity event in Long Beach called Taste at the Point, where a dozen local restaurants came and gave out food samples, and bands played, and there was a big raffle and lots of artisans selling their crafts. I bought a necklace and a cute, reversible tote, ate lots of food and enjoyed some good music.

The next day I went mini-golfing with my best friend, who totally clobbered me (I lost by like, 20 strokes -- SHAMEFUL!). I then had to take him out to lunch, since I lost

All in all it was a fun weekend!

Worked all weekend at the theatre, but actually had an active EH weekend - 18 new matches, 7have already moved into some phase of communication, and made dates with two others currently in OC via a couple of great phone calls.

One of the dates is interestingly a gentleman that I asked my first EHA question about -- regarding how quickly to initiate communication, and did immediate requests appear needy or desperate. He lives about an hour and a half away, and we have been talking regularly since I was advised to jump on in. He's coming to Houston next weekend when my show is over. SO excited.

I respectfully disagree. A weekend involving homemade lasagna cannot possibly be boring!!!

Ideally, BUT, I will say this - lots of participants are changing their approach to dating, meaning their approach to approaching dating: being more communicative with more matches (I know you're good about this already though) or being more bold "out in the wild" and approaching people they find interesting (I'm trying this myself...), so the absence of an actual date definitely does not preclude being part of the experiment.

No, but your floor probably looks GREAT, (or it will soon!)

My girlfriend started her new job this weekend in the world of fast food. This on top of being a college student means that she will be working every weekend. She started Saturday so we went out Friday night and I stayed over and we had lunch Saturday morning before she had to go to work.

We will see how the logistics of this works out, with me living an hour and a half away only getting to spend a couple of hours over the weekend is a bit silly so the staying over helps in that regard. The twist is she lives with her parents and while they have a spare room and have no issue with me sleeping in it I don't want to make a habit out of it.

Not sure about this next week, with mother's day I may spend the weekend with my parents and seeing as she has to work she won't be able to join me. The next few weekends might be kind of rocky and will likely result in us spending a little less time together but I certainly think that her finishing school and making money is far more important than us seeing each other every weekend and thanks to cell phones / computers it isn't like we don't communicate a lot during the week.

Got together with the gf both on Saturday and Sunday. Went to New Hope on Sat and mainly just walked around and eventually got dinner. Sunday we got kind of a late start so we just walked around for a bit and ended up stopping for a drink. We also ended things a little earlier than we usually do as she wasn't feeling good. Sunday was also the first time she was over to my place.

Surprisingly, I met three new men this past week -- that's unlike me, since I haven't dated much this past couple of years. Just odd timing, due to schedules.

One was a coffee meet (questionable chemistry for him I'd guess, although I found him attractive), 2nd was a dinner eH match who I've been corresponding with for 3-4 weeks. Nice but I didn't really feel a spark -- we may get together again though, as I'm slow to develop the chemistry thing sometimes. 3rd date was last night -- dinner and a nice walk. Pleasant, but no connection -- disappointing, because he's the closest geographically.

Hope to meet someone I've very interested in later this week or next. We seem to have more in common and his pics showed attractiveness to me anyway. Hope for the best, eh?
