So, what'd you do this past weekend?

Any dates to report?

I had a fun reunion / sleepover thingie with a bunch of friends from my old job (yes we are all female)

We stayed in a swanky hotel (easy to do when you're splitting the bill so many ways) and had some drinkies and good food and GREAT conversation. It was good to catch up with them all -- I even learned that my friend who is getting married later this summer met her fiance on eHarmony!!!! I have no idea how I didn't know that already, but I literally almost cried (happy tears) when I found out!

So, it was an awesome weekend for me!

I took the lawn mower and scared a few weeds.

I spent most of my weekend on the threads and other web sites.
Friday- I thought I was going to a speed dating event on Sunday. So, I went shopping after work. I checked the website and the date changed to another day. I was frustrated because I was looking forward to going out so I asked for suggestions in FNRC. Some people gave me good suggestions and others were just plain silly. I figured I would have create my own fun playing on the threads while searching new places to meet singles.
Saturday- I was still researching places on the web . I helped create utter mayhem on FNRC and SNRC.
Sunday- Helped make Dr. T laugh by pretending to travel around to different states visiting people while planning a silly party on the “ if you only had 24hrs to live thread.”
I had way too much time on my hands this weekend.

I had a date Friday night. It did not go as well as hoped. So after a 2-week hopefulness of finally finding a keeper.... I'm back on the market.

Been a while since I posted my weekend update.
So here goes ...

I had a good weekend, My guy an I visited with his
grandmother (she's in the hospital again) on Friday night
till 12am. (thats when ICU visiting hrs are over)

Slept most the day Saturday then back to see her
after we grabbed a bite to eat.
Went Cosmic Bowlin, I held a firm 2nd place until
the last game, LOL, Then I won the last game beatin
my guy by One Whole Point! I beat my own best
record with 10 strikes for the whole night an 6 in
the last game. It woulda been 7 strikes an a spare
but the dang Score keeper thingy was messed up.
An where its automated ya cant change it.

Oh well, Its ok I still won an had a blast with my guy
an our friends. An we didnt get to bed until the weeee
hrs of the mornin, round 6am at least.
Sunday was a lazy day mostly layin round doin nothin
an jus watchin TV.

My fav kind of weekends.

My weekend was mixed. I was supposed to meet someone for dinner on Friday night, but he canceled and ended things because his work schedule conflicted too much with his personal life and I was one commitment too many.

Saturday was my nephew's birthday so that took my mind off of Friday for a little while.

Sunday I had a first meet with someone. It went fine and he asked me out so I guess I'll see where that leads.

Had a 1st date Friday night. The evening actually seemed to go pretty well. I had recommended a small Italian cafe on my side of town that neither of us had been to before. This place has a limited menu and everything is organic and from scratch. They allow you to bring your own wine and charge a very small corkage fee, so I brought a nice bottle of Jordan cab for our evening. It was clear we were both pretty nervous at first, but seemed to smooth out to conversation and flirting. When the owner came over to tell us that we could move to another table to talk if we wanted to stay, we got up to leave. Outside, he asked if I wanted to go for coffee, so we went down to Starbucks and talked some more. Then he said "what do you want to do next?" We went to a club down the street, had a couple of drinks and talked more. Overall, a six hour date by the time he took me back to my car. He seemed very attracted based on his behaviors, particularly at the end of the date.
....but, I haven't heard from him since, so maybe not......

On Saturday, I had a date with the guy I met for coffee last week. He made dinner and we talked, but it just isn't going to go anywhere. His favorite topic is him, to the point of interrupting even if I was answering a question to say more about him. I wasn't really that physically attracted to him, so had hoped it could grow if there was another connection. There isn't. So I need to call and let him know.

Yesterday was a beautiful day and I headed out to a local vineyard with a picnic and my netbook. They have live music there most weekends, so I sat on my blanket, munching grapes, apple and cheese and drinking some wine while listening to music. Just lovely!
