I'm kind of enjoying being coy. Keep 'em guessing, that's what I say. Makes people think I'm really up to something.

lol I went out with a good friend of mine on Saturday night and we picked up iced capps and went for a drive. It's the standard routine, but we love it. We ended up at Wal-Mart at 10:45 pm so I could buy nylons for church on Sunday. Yay . . .

Other things about the weekend were great too.

I forgot something in my first post. I also started a thread to celebrate each other’s birthdays.

Are you going to be able to make the rescheduled speed dating event?
Some people took my plea for help seriously in FNRC and pmed me great suggestions. They know who they are and I thank them.
Unfortunately I could not make the rescheduled event. There is another event coming up soon that I might attend. I will keep you updated.

Got a call from a friend I haven't seen in a long time. Family trouble, coming over to talk. Think I'll pick up a couple good beers so we can sit in the backyard, while he catches me up on what is going on. And if the mower will start, I can admire my freshly mowed lawn.

I bit the bullet and wrote the guy from Friday night. I did have a good lead in as I just got the invite from the vineyard for Sat movie night. I wrote and told him I had a good time on Friday, and had gotten this invite and wondered if he would like to go with me.

I don't have a definitive answer yet, but I choose to take it as a good sign that he replied rather promptly and said, in part:

"I had a good time too, it was fun, good wine, good food, good conversation, and really good playfulness!"

He asked if he could let me know tomorrow, and explained that he is selling his ATV and a guy is scheduled to come by Sat night to come look at it, but that he would call him and see what he could work out.

So not a yes, but not a no either. I choose to be happy about it.

Good for you Buttercup. It sounds promising.

I sent a very short email to the guy I went out with and asked if he was still interested in talking. I wish I would have had a specific event to ask him about, like you.
