Let's se if I can shed some light on this. Most states have a waiting period after you go to court for the final hearing before a divorce is final. Some people actually go through the entire divorce process and then during the waiting period go back to court and have the judge set aside (invalidate) the divorce.

For example in Massachusetts the day you go to court Judgment Nisi enters. Ninety days later, Judgment Absolute enters; the divorce is then final. That could explain the papers in the mail.

The ex who emailed him is an earlier ex. The day he got the papers for his most recent divorce, the first ex emails to say that she to is in the process of geting out of her latest marriage.

Oops! Ahahaha, I meant to type that she's getting married. Divorce must really be on my mind. I'll edit it. So just to clarify....

I got the signed and stamped divorce papers in the mail today along with an email from the ex-wife that she is getting married in July. Bad idea on her part. She was a single party girl for many years, then she gets engaged to a guy she was with for like 4 years, leaves him, meets me like a month later, we eventually get married for 7 years, leaves me last June, asks for a divorce in October (I'm guessing about the same time she gets serious with the new guy), divorce is final 9 days ago, they're getting married in July. I wish for her own sake she would have taken more time this time, but it's her life.

Anyway, I already knew the divorce was final so I did have a divorce kegger Saturday. It was fun. I've been really happy lately, but I'm having mixed emotions based upon today's events. It's really for reals reals over now, not that I ever wanted to get back with her. So anyway, cheers!

Perhaps with her dating pattern you figured it would end in divorce anyway so you were accurately calling it.
