So... we've been emailing for a couple of weeks. I said I wanted to meet because I found emailing a bit one-dimensional. He said yes but did I want to call first, which I thought was a good idea. I called him when he said he would be home only to have him start off the conversation telling me he was getting drunk. He had friends over. Then there was the 4 or so swear words withing the first 5 minutes. Granted, he was drinking. But the first time you talk to someone you potentially want to date? He sounded great on paper but really? I offered to phone back another day and he said no, it was fine. I'm thinking he blew this one. Such a disconnect between my first impression via email and this call. Any thoughts?
