How 'green' is your love life? - CNN.com

and wondered the following"

does being "green" influence your behavior when selecting a date location or activity?

does being "green conscious" score us points in the view of the one we date?

disclaimer - when I'm talking "green", I'm not talking 'bout foldin' money. okay? that's a topic for a later thread. please stay focused on the topic. if I want the thread hijacked, I am perfectly capable of handling that myself.

Well when we brew beer we bottle it into cleaned bottles that have already been used before. Then we drink it all, clean, and brew again. Bet you never knew going green could be sooooo much fun.

If "political correctness" is a prequisite, such as, ordering a meal in a restaurant in Berkeley, California, (for example) one can request "A nice big organic bowl of dirt;

Served along with a glass of ...... wood."

Since I can hug both trees and men, I don't find a problem being a 'greenie' or in finding like minded guys to date.

The general group of people I hang out with are interested in ecology minded living-and this is a position I've taken since I was young. Raised my children to believe in recycling, reusing and repairing and so on.

I'm fortunate to live in an area that has a strong earth friendly philosophy. Actually I met one of my former boyfriends, and a man who is still a good friend, on a beach cleanup 2 years ago.

I travel by mass transit much of the time, bike or walk to the store and generally do what I can to have the lightest footprint on the earth. After all-this is the only world we have and I have grandkids to leave it to. Speaking of grandkids, of my 4 children, 3 of them have decided to have just one child-my eldest son has 2 boys. I had 3 children and adopted a 4th.

I prefer grass stains to rug burns.

Are you saying rolling dollar bills and sticking them in my mouth is not an option?

It isn't something which has impacted me.

The decisions I make which have a reduced environmental impact, are, in my case, motivated by economics.

I would not make an environmentally-advantageous choice if it came with an adverse economic impact.

This would be something I would make note of in a partner, but, as I said, it hasn't (yet) been an issue.
