So I have been hanging with this chick for a couple weeks and she invited me to go to a skiing trip with her last weekend. At the end of the weekend I told her I will call her tomorrow and she said sounds good. then the next day we texted each other a short conversation. A few hours later I asked her If she was busy that night via texting and got nothing. A few hours later I called her and left a message asking again. She finally texted me back about 2 hours later and she said hey sorry I am gonna stay home and relax. got a lot going on this week again and I just wanna enjoy time with my pup. have fun. then she said Also have good thought for her dog that is having surgery on friday. Since this I have not talked to her for 2 days. I feel that maybe we spent a lot of time together and she wants a little space. If she was not interested why did she tell me about her dog getting surgery. It makes me think that she wanted space and wants me to call her on friday. Please help because I really like her a lot and I do not want to chase her away!!!!

The ball is definitely in her court, but she sounds like she is putting you off a little bit. I would just let her contact you when she is able/wants to at this point

Don't know if she's interested but from your description there's no reason to think she isn't. She didn't answer back immediately and wanted time to herself or with her pup ... doesn't mean she's not into you.

I think you could text her tomorrow (thursday) and say something like "good luck with your pup tomorrow...". Something that lets her you know you're thinking of her, and it's her turn to call, yes?

It's possible the Pup is seriously sick, she might be worried, you know.

Right maybe contact her Thursday or Friday saying you hope everything goes well with her puppy. Don't press to see her again or anything, no agenda, just let her know you were thinking of her and hoping her dog is doing well.

My guess is two things: she wants to slow things down a bit and two, she's worried about her puppy. So I think your initial feeling that she wanted a little space is probably on the money.

Personally, I'd wait till Friday afternoon or early evening and just text her something simple about the puppy. "Hope everything went well and she/he is back up in no time". And leave it at that. I wouldn't bother her in case she had second thoughts after the weekend together. If you contact her too soon, that will give her the clingy red flag.

Or better yet, if you have email contact, maybe just a little get well soon card, sent in the puppy's name. It shows you care but you aren't pressuring to see her. Something in the message like "You're mommy will take great care of you, get well soon". She's acknowledged in the card but it's nonthreatening.

I've been there before when you're on the fence and the guy is all in... you can be spooked easily.

Hope this helps.

Hate to say it but even if she is somewhat interested she is definitely putting you on the back burner......which isn't a good sign when things are starting off. You can continue to try to talk to her if you'd like but definitely do not make her a priority because she is obviously not making you a priority.

If I had to guess she probably lost some interest during the weekend together. Did you guys happen to get intimate during the weekend......she might just be looking for a fling or dating simply isn't very important to her at the moment.

There's only one person who knows for sure if this girl is interested in you and that's her. Just ask. Anything else is speculation.
