I'm meeting a long-distance match tomorrow for coffee and/or lunch. He's driving to me, which is nice (he likes to take coastal drives, he says). I have a pretty good feeling about meeting him, although you never really know until you meet. I'm prepared to find him somewhat attractive (or more) and maybe date him a few (up to maybe three) times to get a sense of whether there's a 'spark.' I'm not a 5-minute kind of gal -- I think that should only apply to boiling an egg or something

Anyway, he says he's looking forward to meeting me and seeing 'if the chemistry juices flow.' Huh? Is that a new Daytime Soap?

Comments? Should I be concerned? Anyone? Anyone?

Thanks, but...seriously? Do you take it as a sexual innuendo?

Laced, nope! I don't take that as sexual innuendo in the least I'd take it as a cautious compliment on him being willing to travel to meet you and just see where things go. Doesn't mean nekkid tango after a cup of coffee.... but it does mean he finds you intriguing enough to travel to do the IRL event Just roll with it and let us know whether it sizzles or fizzles on the initial meet (please let me be vicarious here! LOL)

Maybe that's his intent (if not, I'd say it was awkwardly-worded.)

I don't really think too badly when people say something less-than-perfect.

He he wishes to have sex, it's his task to make himself sufficiently desirable - and that is no different from anybody else - and then your choice how to react - and that is no different than at any other time.

I don't think it's a sexual innuendo. I think he is thinking more along the lines of whether you both feel an attraction to each other in person.

not knowing anything else about him that expression would strike me as weird, but as one isolated statement out of all of the other things that he has said to you, as long as there werent other weird things, i wouldn't mind really

Sounds to me like he was trying to be funny.

Of course, I sometimes laugh at stuff that person saying it did not intend as funny, so.......

Like others have said, it is a good thing he wants to meet and I wouldn't read too much into the unusual phrasing.

I don't find that a weird comment at all. Chemistry juices are just chemistry juices and no other kind of juices. Good luck with it.

Are "chemistry juices" like Orange juices?

Freshly squeezed, extra pulpy, etc?
