Worst excuse men/women use while dating?

For me, it's "I was busy." I hate it. Now, sometimes it is a legitimate reason for someone not to get back to you right away. And I'm sure we've all experienced things in life that happened to us that precluded us from getting back to someone and calling, e-mailing, texting, etc. But when you wait 2 weeks to hear back from someone and they're "too busy" to contact you, it's never a good sign.

This seems to happen to everyone here. If I don't get a reply after two weeks, I close the match. If a person is not serious enough about meeting someone to check in at least once a week, then they aren't the sort of person I'm looking for.

If this is outside of eH, then it is just rude. You are right. It's not hard to respond within two weeks. However, I've been known to forget voice mail messages and emails, so I'm quite forgiving in that respect.

Yeah, darn those people who get sick or have to go out of town suddenly!

A much worse excuse: when you ask someone out and they say they have to wash their hair that night (or some other mundane thing that could be done at another time)... rather than just being honest and saying no thanks.

Anything along the lines of 'if you don't know, I'm not telling you!' I find I have no patience with this tactic and tend to get a tad snippy in my response. lol

It is actually worse when they laim they are "suddenly busy" right afer you meet in person for the first time instead of just being honest with you....

I will only contact someone one time. If they don't reply back in a timely manner then I move on. If it takes them 2 weeks to get back to me then they are just too late.
