OK.

So now there's a **few** eharmony folks who know that I have had an **interesting** past.

Not a criminal, no convictions... just an **interesting** past.

Nuff said.

OK.

So being an upfront kinda guy... generally speaking, before dating, I politely inform my new dates of just "who I am" and "where I came from".

Why, you ask????

Because if I LIED about the past through omission... and let's say, 6 months went by... and my new date found out about **certain things** by snooping in my laptop or snooping through my files - well... let's just say that it's likely that all holy h3ll would break loose.

OK.

So now for the NO WIN part.

LOL

Typical female logic:

1) "I do not want to know about your past."

"But darling... if I choose to lie through omission and eventually you find out anyway... you will accuse me of wasting 6 months of your life and hate on me forever for not being forthright to begin with."

2) "I reserve the right to become angry with you if you disclose too much information in advance AND I reserve the right to become angry with you if you DO NOT disclose your past to me in the future.

"But darling... that makes no sense. How could any reasonable man make the right decision?"

OK brace yourself... here it comes:

"Well it's obvious that you do not understand women. We need to have things both ways. I can't believe that you haven't learned that at your age."

Women generally don't find "Bitter" and "Confrontational" attractive qualities in men.

In other words... side with the crazy females and up your chances to get a date???

Or... tell it like it is and maybe snag a sane female.

I'm intrigued and fascinated by what goes on in that interesting mind of yours FF. It's like watching a toreador waving his chiffon rouge in front of the bulls, implanting his decorated banderillas into the neck of the bulls when they, due to his teasing, attack with rage. Intriguing indeed.

Okay I know you know this but I have to point out it goes both ways. Men say they want an honest woman. I am very honest about everything. Full disclosure and all that. Ya know what guys would tell me? I know you do...if you are that up front with this it makes me wonder what you are hiding. Then they say goodbye.

Whether you tell everything and are truthful there is this assumption that you are lying and hiding things.

Here is where it gets interesting, the reason is your OP. It is assumed that because we assume that you assume that we assume that you assume that something is being hidden. We base this on "that guy" you know the one who messed everything up for everyone else but no one knows who he is. If I ever find "that guy" I am beating the carp out of them for everyone here.

God, I love you, girlFriend!

Do you think we should tell him about that poem I did awhile back? Or should we just assume he'll manage to find his own way there all by his lonesome?

Of course some men can win: by truly not having an "interesting" past, based on your definition and level of "interesting."

If there are no consequences in things that we do, I'm pretty sure almost every one of us will have done much more "interesting" things.
