I consider it a weeding out process. Why in the world would this be a problem for anyone? I can't fathom.

No, it just doesn't agree with you and doesn't suit you. That does not equal "bad"
I can't fathom how anyone in this day and age would not think this is bad advice for someone with any rational expectation of finding a romantic relationship. Do nothing for at least three dates except show up?

Why in the world would you believe that's what Nanette is advocating? Just because that's the only thing you've ever seen her say?

I'm not sure when where or how, but she assures us that she's a very accommodating person and equitable dater, regardless of the impression we may get from all of her posts.

No, I'm not very accommodating, but I have a good sense of "equity". I'm not out to take advantage of men (or anyone) in a dating (or any) scenario, that's for sure. And it's evident in how I interact with people irl.

This works for me, and I highly recommend that the OP continue on with what she thinks is correct to find someone that is right for her, not just any old guy.

If she wasn't interested in them she wouldn't be dating them. If that doesn't spell it out clearly enough nothing will.
That's not true at all, especially if he's paying for the dates. Many women will go out with someone they're not interested in, if a free meal or entertainment is involved and nothing physical is happening.

But you wouldn't know that since you don't pay your own way, which makes it easy to say people should date for years before they have any physical contact.

BTW, it's interesting how many people here seem to think some of us are saying women should have sex by the third date, when none of us has said that.

I dont. If I am not attracted to a guy I insist on splitting the check. Then, I tell him thanks but no thanks (in a nice way)
