Better late than never right? Humor me here, I'm back today from a GREAT long weekend vacation entertaining friends who were visiting from Canada -- was such a blast! Highlights included a trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, a whirl around L.A. (Sunset Strip / Beverly Hills / Beaches) and of course....Disneyland!.

Here are a couple of photos one of my friends took at the Wild Animal Park - we went on the Photo Caravan and it was AMAZING. If you ever have the chance to do something like this I highly recommend it!


Chimoa the giraffe enjoys an acacia leaf. Feeding the giraffes was the realization of a long-time dream of mine


This lion was actually behind a thick glass partition...lol...otherwise I might have become his dinner! Here he is doing a mating call - one of the lionesses was roaring in response.

I spent my weekend going mad trying to figure out the new online marking system I have to use as a TA. It was great!!! lol

I did go for an almost four hour walk on Saturday, which was fantastic!

Chocolate-covered coffee beans give me a migraine. Weird, huh?
