Hello there,

I am a woman and when I am out on a date, I will look for an opportunity to pick up the cheque. I would not expect the man to pick up the cheque simply because he's a man. I think it's nice to alternate instead of going dutch.

Men, do ladies ever pick up the cheque on a first date? How about the second?

What is your impression of women who do?

Pull up a chair, maybe brew yourself a nice hot tea....get comfy for some fine reading.

Here's for a start:

Then once you're ready...maybe switch to a nice warm brandy...or beer..then jump to the deep end:

This one might be a little long, you probably have to take 1/2 day off from work.

Enjoy!! and welcome to the circus!!

Edit: Disclaimer....once you enter and read the posts, you might come out feeling nauseated and wanting to bang your head...this feeling is normal...just take a couple deep breath, refill the brandy, and think that this is just like a bad trip caused like wrong drug interaction and forget what you've read...and you'll be fine.

This is a woman's point of view, but I always offer to pay starting from the first date. It just seems polite, and I've consistently gotten positive reactions from men. Not one has said "Handling money is not your place, woman; back to the kitchen!"

I have only had one woman offer to pick up the whole check on the first date. I declined and she said that she would take me out for the second date. Never heard back from her.

Have had a number of women offer to pay their part of the bill on the first date. That comes across loud and clear THERE AIN'T GONNA BE A SECOND DATE!

I dont have a problem with it if its rational and they insist. For example say I drive 1-2 hrs to meet her for dinner near where she lives. Its a good character measure if she offers to pick up the check.
