Yup. Here I am. On the big VD. I'm not sure why this holiday is hitting me so hard. I'm in the middle of my self imposed break, but... am I regretting it now? I guess. I'm super lonely. I've spent it with my son, but now he's been picked up early by his father who is in looove with his brand spanking new fiance. Blah. I went through Christmas and New Years just fine. I guess that's because I was surrounded by loving family and friends. All my family and friends have S.O. So... here I am. Feeling the pity party coming on. I'm not sure what to do. Please tell me I'm not alone here.

I just checked, and there are 79 members and 900 guests on the boards right now.

You are definitely not alone...lol.

But, that's different, of course, from whether one feels lonely. Personally, I think that it's just fine to wallow around in those feelings for a bit -- and what better day for doing that than VD? Do some moping around, shed a tear or two, feel sorry for yourself, watch some horribly schmaltzy movie that makes you feel even more lonely... And then be ready to move forward tomorrow.

I'm wondering if I should go to a movie by myself, a bar by myself, or join one of my best friend's ex-boyfriends for one of the previous two... I'm not sure how my best friend would feel about it. I really don't want to talk to her about it to be honest. I know he likes me, but I just don't want to cause any more drama in her life, if it will at all (I'm not sure it will or not). Or if I should just clean my house. OR watch some horrible movies that will make me cry at home lol. Thanks guys.

Lmao you're such a brat. Am I the only person in America that thinks there cannot possibly think there can be anything more boring than the olympics? I'm sure someone's going to murder me on here for that, but I can't help it. I have no interest in it. I'm sure that's un-American somehow, just like my dislike of NASCAR... wow. Aren't I a ray of sunshine today.
