This is an old post.

I read it before going on a date this week, because I had a coupon to an upscale restaurant I was considering using. It would have shaved $25 off the bill, but after reviewing this thread I decided against it, because there's a large contingent on here who views coupons on a first date to be tacky.

My date was amazing. She's super interesting, smart, attractive, has traveled the world, and seems like a good person deep down. It probably would have been okay, as she's still in residency and probably budgets herself, but why take the chance. She loved the restaurant so much that I will take her there in the future (if things work out) and use the coupon at that time.
