How many times have you started communicating with someone, feel the chemistry, things are going well... then... POOF !! For no reason at all, they are gone, don't respond, just... disappear. I believe the glass is half full all the time, and starting to think that you shouldn't even look at a glass until you meet the water... does that make sense?

It seems online dating is such a carp shoot. So many people to go through, filter, begin communication with. I'm new to online dating, but learning quick lessons by just throwing myself into the mix. Seems like people on this board have been at it for a while. What are the lessons that you've learned that can help people who are just starting out. For me, the biggest one I think I'm learning is don't get your hopes up until "it" actually happens. Until then, take it easy and enjoy.
I think this is a bit weak. Don't get you hopes up until after the wedding. And even then it may be premature.
