BBW sites are good for an ego boost because women who get little interest on more mainstream sites will get quite a bit there, but it should be remembered that they are ultimately the same when it comes to finding what you want, a man to share your life with and not just a few hours in the sack.
There will be guys on BBW sites who are "Chubby Chasers" of one flavour or another because it's a perfect hunting ground for them, feeders, guys who just have a sexual fetish for large, or guys who like slim but go for large because they perceive BBWs to be more desperate and willing to put out when any interest is shown, which sadly is often true.
BBW sites can be pretty predatory, i've watched a lot of David Attenborough shows at one time or another of lions stalking the watering hole, and there have been times at BBW sites and clubs when the voice overs for those shows would have fitted the action perfectly.

I don't mean to sound rude here but are you looking for guys who share your dietary and exercise goals to prop up your own resolve in those areas when it gets a bit shaky? If so then that may not be the best avenue, obviously i can't speak for all of them but a lot of the guys i've ever met who match the image you describe are pretty body conscious and fairly unforgiving about those they see as less than perfect, or backsliding in moments of weakness, you'd be more likely to increase your stress trying to live up to their expectations of commitment and self discipline.
Finding someone else with weight issues and a desire to do something about it may seem a perfect solution but it is also far more dangerous if you're both relying on each other to stiffen your resolve.

There are guys out there who will accept you as you are and any changes that may come along, but perhaps they are guys who are not currently on your radar.

I personally you'd have better luck meeting people if you joined say...an exercise group for beginners, walking club, dieters group, etc. you will at least meet people with similar goals and interests and start from there.

At the very least you will gain something from the group, not necessarily finding a romantic interest, maybe a friend, and losing weight, health, etc.
