No seriously - dreamy as this guy may be outwardly, he sounds like bad news. "Marrying" someone to acquire land??? Come on!! Are you gonna be okay down the road with other casually dishonest things he does, or even ask you to do?? And something tells me, you don;t know the half of his underhanded dealings. He sounds just plain SHADY and full on grandiose, "victim-ish" excuses! Do you really even want to be "friends" with him?? To what end??? What is the point???????

Again.... RRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
Yes indeedy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget the dude -- just invite a few friends over and rent Green Card and The Proposal. It would be a lot more fun, and definitely less heartache! Think of this guy as the 'messenger' of a needed reminder of how cool it is to have that undivided attention. Then take that lesson forward to your next potential relationship if you can.

This guy is bad news, stop seeing him, don't even be friends.

Look at how he is viewing marriage. He is willing to simply marry someone to buy land in another country? That's lame and honestly I think that is a fake story.

Find someone else who is available and who doesn't think of marriage as an easy tool for land acquisition.

See, this is why I said I'm too close to the forest. He's charming and all, and it is so easy to get sucked in!

But I still say the men should follow his lead and really look at your date when chatting with them. Eyes wide open! He truly made me feel like I was the only other person in the room.
He's a con artist. I mean that seriously. He's done all the right things (looking at you, offering to teach your kids about business); he "had" his own business and sold it; travels the world (which makes him interesting and exciting); he's charming; blah blah blah....BUT

He has to marry some woman in a foreign country to buy property? That's ridiculous. No successful (legitimate) businessman would do that. I don't know what country he's talking about, but I do know that Mexico allows only citizens to buy property. However, Americans do buy vacation condos and such. They simply use Mexican banks as holding companies to get around the law. I guarantee that this guy will soon be asking you to loan him money or hitting you up to invest in his "property". Then he will vanish.

I agree, or at minimum he's a total player. This has disaster written all over it if you pursue it.
