Hi, new to these boards! Anyway, this past fall I had one of those feast periods (where I completely get overwhelmed, I'd rather focus on one at a time). There were 2 guys I started dating and liked both, but continued with the 2nd who intrigued me even more, and let the first slide... simply because I just couldn't juggle them both any more than 2 dates each. The first never called again, only left an email with a suggestion of getting together again. I didn't respond to that one, and it's been months now. We both left the match open. I saw he viewed me recently. I'm wondering about writing him out of the blue, even just to see what he's up to, since there's been so much time that's passed. Is it too awkward now? Should I just let it go, move on? I'm not sure what to do, how to handle this, and I'm afraid of how he'd react. Thanks for your advice.

You might have an initial period of things being awkward, or a longer period of distrust, but that may be overcome easily. Like most things, you don't know unless you try.

Personally, I'd take it as water under the bridge, but it would be a piece of knowledge about how she has already treated me.

Good to know, but I was afraid it'd be something he wouldn't easily let go of... (I'm having all kinds of issues with posting, sorry).

Not sure about this. From the male perspective, if a guy tried to get back with a girl where she just wasn't feeling it, she'll think your obsessive-compulsive or a bit out of whack. However, and this had happened to me a few months ago, out of no where she called me and we dated again for 3 weeks. After that, she turned back to the reason why we split. I did welcome it at first though.

Its a tough call.

That's your "professional dater" at work.

She used you for free meals when no one else asked her out. This is one of the big reasons not to fall for this ploy.

The not-responding to email, might be in the back of the guy's mind (at least I would- just for a point of reference like Froggie said)...but if the girl is cute, and I've been single for a while and got nothin' to do on a Saturday night...I'd probably respond back if the girl contacted me.

As the guy, I would not be as gung-ho as before...who knows she might flake out on me like she would before, so I'm re-entering with caution.
