Anyone in the Manhattan area have some suggestions on activities to do after work during the week, aside from just dinner of course. During the nice months, its easier, but the winter months, not so much.

Come on people. Help me out here a bit. Aside from just dinner. Should relabel as things to do in Manhattan while on a date? I know we can go to times square, but that is expensive. This would be our first date after the first meet.

- Skinny-dipping in the harbour?

- Peering with you telescope into other apartments (though they are usually so close a microscope is more appropriate)?

- Sex (surely this is possible in NY)?

I stand by the Russian Tea Rooms, they're beautiful, dinner is pricey but an irish coffee when it's cold outside is a thing of beauty.

Guggenheim; stunning building, funky modern art.

Loeb boat house for dinner (easy hop from the guggenheim)

Stroll round Greenwich Village ending in John's pizzeria.

Cocktails in 230 Fifth roof top bar.

Oysters in Grand Central Station.

Gigs at the Bowery Ball Room or Mercury Lounge in the lower east side.

The hotel bar at W on Lexington

Dear god, it's impossible not to have fun in Manhattan.

failing all else check out www.villagevoice.com

I'm in London, what do I know? But these are things I like in NYC.
