What does "taking a break from dating" mean?

For me (always the cynic), it means that that person is not interested enough by your profile to want to start communicating with you.

I'm not a paying member of matching - I don't use it even if it was free. However, I was just curious to know what exactly that phrase mean because I see it on the threads a lot.

Does anyone really care if someone else is "taking a break from dating"? or is it a lame attempt at sending out a subliminal message?

Personally, I don't even care to know if you're taking a break at work.

I use the phrase here because I am taking a break from dating. I can see how that seems so cryptic. lol!!!

Seriously? Subliminal Messages? And I thought the ladies over-analyzed.

What message would you like me to be sending subliminally??

You never know, someone could be sending out subliminal messages for you to actually pay for eh matching or something
