Well, I took the plunge and called him last night. We chatted for a bit and then he said something about me being, "welcome to have dinner at his house on Friday." I guess he is having people over.

Then I told him that was why I was calling, to see when he was free this weekend and if he still wanted to see that movie.

Anyway, he asked me if Saturday night was good for me and now we are set for dinner and a movie.

I was so nervous calling.
OMG it's like pulling teeth! But you got a date set up. Maybe after this affirmation, he'll feel more comfortable initiating with you.

After all that, he CANCELS! He got sick apparently. What is funny is i was feeling terrible and knew i should probably cancel, but decided against it, and just wanted to finally get this first date over with. then he ups and cancels. Oh well, the ball is in his court, as they say, the next one is on him! I really wonder if he will get up the nerve this time, since he knows i am truly interested and willing to go out with him.

Because he and I have liked each other for a long time. It seems like everything has been leading up to us going out, the tension has just been building for months. .
