Prior to a first meeting?

I don't care to talk at all (which only makes me less interested in meeting.)

I will make a couple of calls, but my interest drops off fast when she likes talking on the phone.

7 and for 25.9 minutes every other day for 3 weeks, except Sundays...
who knows?!...no one knows the answer to that one.
Some people don't like phones, so they won't even suggest them.
others feel more comfortable talking a bit on the phone first.
I'm in the last group as one of the things I like about a woman has to be the sound of her voice...just my thing.
Do what you feel comfortable doing.

I don't see the point to talking on the phone multiple times with someone I've never met, so I'm fine with once or twice, just to get a feel for what kind of person they are.

how often before the f2f meeting... never (for me). I more prefer to meet f2f fairly quickly to see if there is anything there. Email will work up front, then move to f2f. Phone conversations are a waste of time IMIO.

For me, I wouldn't want to talk on the phone more than two or three times before meeting in person...and that's for situations where there's a fair bit of distance involved. For someone who lives close by, a single phone call to make arrangements is more than enough for me. I can be flexible if my date is new to online dating and a little nervous, but by three calls I figure if they're not comfortable meeting in person then they probably never will be.

Once I reach open communication...then I see if there seems to be some back and forth conversation at which I will share email addresses and continue with conversations either that way or through IMs. Prior to meeting I will want to talk with her on the phone so I can recognize her voice. Just remember one of Chandlers girlfriends from friends with that annoying new york accent that gave the same as the sceaming chalk sound. If everything goes well there then there is coordination on setting up a time/place to meet. Sometimes this may take a few weeks given logistics, distance, and availability.
