Do have any quirks/phobias that you have to overcome in dating? For example, maybe you are painfully shy upon first meeting.....or, you get very sweaty palms....or are always tongue-tied around the opposite sex....or, opposite, do you have a habit of totally dominating the conversation no matter how hard you try?

What issues do you struggle with, how do you overcome or work around them and to what extent do these things impact your dating life?

Not something I do... but I can't stand a guy who licks his lips the whole date as he is talking to me... it's not a compliment.

I was raised a big believer in table manners. No holding your knife and fork like weapons, chew with your mouth closed, etc.

Twice I've been on dates where the woman's table manners ended up being a deal breaker. However, there were other signs in both cases that the woman wouldn't have been a good fit.

The American method of using a knife to cut off a piece of food and then placing the knife down is different than the English method. I could well imagine that the English method could be considered to be "holding the knife and fork like weapons".

Knowing some English people they happen to think that we have no table manners. It may well be that you are discarding people because their customs don't match your own yet are considered quite proper where they came from.

I don't have any quirks or phobias that I must overcome when going on a date. However I may well have quirks of which I am not aware which turn off my matches.

How about a "not even close to rich" chick with a lead foot?

I talk a mile a minute on the first date.
