Hey everyone!

Did all of you have a great, hopefully LONG weekend?! I hope so!

Mine was pretty much just happy and mellow. Hung out with my best friend who is also a "west coast orphan" with far away family. Went and saw Avatar which I thought was just terrific.

How about you? How did you spend your holiday?

Anyone have any dates to report?

I went to a nice candle light service at my church on Christmas Eve.

However, Christmas suuuucked. I am an orphan and spent Christmas by myself as all my friends had gone out of town.

Christmas Eve was spent with my daughter so we had a lovely time preparing the dinner for the following day and watching "Love Actually" in our PJ's.

On Christmas Day, my son joined us so after opening presents, we got things ready for the friends who joined us for dinner. After eating waaayyyy to much we played "Taboo" and charades. During the day, the guy I am dating stayed in touch (he was visiting family) and, while we didn't get to spend Christmas Day together, we had our little Christmas on the 23rd and he joined us on December 26th.

Glad you had a nice Christmas Lori!

I spent Christmas Eve with my aunts, cousins and some of my immediate family and Christmas day with my mom, an aunt and both of my brothers and their families. It was just a very relaxing day, but a lot of junk food was consumed!

No dates for me , maybe next year.

Yesterday I volunteered to help out at the mayor's sportsfest for kids. It's a free event that happens every year, but this was my first time volunteering. I spent the day strapping kids (and adults who couldn't resist the temptation) into rowing machines to compete in 100 meter races.

Today I'm enjoying one last day of vacation.

Christmas with family. Tons of kids and a new kitten to play with.

Saturday was pretty ho hum, went for a beer with a friend.

Last night had a beer and some nachos with one of the guys I'm seeing. Very casual, but fun.

Now, back to the drudgery of my job. Oh, wait! I LOVE my job!

Christmas eve was great with kids and grand kids over for dinner and present time. Way to cold for midnight mass, many area churches were canceling Christmas eve services. Was able to go Christmas morning when it was just cold and windy. Then kids were back over on Christmas day as my daughter in law's family hadn't been able to make it down due to snow. Kids were busy finishing their present to me, which was new floors in both my kitchen and bathroom. Then the weekend spent with someone special. One of my best Christmas's in years.

Just finished out a great long holiday and successful "Meet the family" weekend! Everyone got along nicely and nobody told any embarrassing stories about my childhood (at least while I was in the room to know about it)!

Christmas eve and Christmas day were great fun with my niece and nephew, the only small children in my family. It's so much fun to be around them, especially when it's time to open presents. My cats have been living at my parents house for quite a while now, so I got some quality time in with my fur balls!

Brought my honey back to the airport this morning, and I will follow him tomorrow for a New Year's weekend in Chicago.

Went to a very low key (family only) parties and got a couple gifts....

Did not overeat at all...(serious). But tried to watch Sherlock Holmes on Christmas day, the darn thing was sold out!

Went to my daughter and her boyfriend's place on Christmas eve after the candlelight service at church and met some of his family and friends. My son spent the evening with his roomates opening gifts.

Christmas day I went to church again and then I had my girlfriend over and my kids. My son took a friend and my daughter's boyfriend was there too. It was relaxed, had dinner and opened gifts.

Boxing day we all went to my parents along with three of my siblings and their families. My youngest two siblings were with their in-laws this year in Ontario and Florida. Had dinner again, opened gifts and just relaxed.
Sunday I went to church again and then visited my brother-in-law (husband's brother) and his wife and kids. Was nice to see them since it had been over half a year, except for the occassional hug and hi at church.
