I've always felt that ones 'distance' preference is a good indication of how serious about finding the right 'partner-in-crime' one is. Or how meaningful it is to them in life. The song "The Whole Wide World" comes to mind.

How much additional distance do you feel is worthwhile?

Where I live, 100 miles on matching (probably 200 on road) is all of NYC and into CT, all of NJ, eastern PA, much of DE, northeath MD, including Baltimore and northeath DC suburbs.

If I can't find many partners in that radius, the solution isn't jet fuel - it's psychiatry!

And how are your counseling sessions going by the way? hehehe.. (couldn't resist).

But in a way I do agree with Mekei (and is covered by EH articles quite indepthly on how you can give yourself the most chance at being successful at EH) ~ any/all rules or restrictions we put on what would be acceptable in a match/mate, does really show how serious you are in finding somebody.

The harder you make it and the more complicated, well, whether you want to admit it or not, probably the less you really truly want to be successful.

(Found my match and gf about 2.5 miles away from me (roughly 150 miles away. Can't imagine if I put a 30 mile limit filter on and thus never got to meet her).

D_Lion, Maybe I need a psychiatrist. I have looked at lots of profiles and found 2 I would consider sending a message. Normal? Weird? Snobby?

As in, the smaller the radius, the more serious they are, since they are more specific?

"Politics is the art of the possible."

Clausewitz said that, and I think it's also pretty much so in the world of dating.
