We know all photos on magazine covers have been retouched and airbrushed. But how far should one go when altering photos for a dating or socializing service? There are limitless possibilities one could do in Photoshop - so where do you draw the line? There are two sides to this argument - some think photo alterations are deceiving in nature while others think it just merely enhances the best aspects of a person (like someone who wears makeup). What are your thoughts on this?
This one really got me thinking since I have a few pictures I use for dating profiles that were professionally done and have been retouched...BUT...I also have pictures of me that I consider attractive, but are very "real" (jet lagged, just walking around town, etc.) I think it's important that you put up a range of pictures so potential matches get a good feel for your overall look. That way one enhanced photo won't make or break their perception of you.

Since some folks don't get it yet ...

Photos: I check them if they are in her profile, maybe I close that match, maybe not.

First sight: If she lied - deceived - in her photos or description, then I am free to walk away (it hasn't been this bad in my experience.)

At the end of the meeting: Attraction is there or it is not. At this point, photos do not matter at all.
