This article made me laugh:

We're over -- now stop dating my family! - CNN.com

until I realized....I AM that person! I'm still VERY close with my ex's entire family -- I even went along on a vacation with them this past summer to Lake Tahoe -- almost a year and a half after we broke up.

Now, the difference is, my ex doesn't mind, he's one of my best friends. But still....lol

Anyway, on to my question -- have you ever had an ex stay a bit too attached to your family (against your wishes)? If so, how did you deal with it and what was the end result?

How does the saying go You also marry the family

My ex-inlaws would stay with me and my children in the summer {they came up every summer from Arizona.} My ex could not deal with no privacy or so he said,, and they are the nicest people I know.
I lived in a small town so who looked like the bad son???? LOL

This is alittle more complicated depending on the situation....

Say you are dating your siblings best friend where the relationship with your sibling was long established?

You have had children together and the issue is with the ex not the family seeing the kids.

If you had a long close relationship with the family it could be hard to sever ties say you end up best friends with your spouses sibling and youve known each other for 20+ years.

These are all very different from the story example of a short fling thing.
