Just posted a new thread and then immediately thought of this one which I like better. List your favourite bars, anywhere in the world, where you think you could have or already did have, a great date.

You can come back time and time again, like any good bar, we'll be pleased to see you.

Just to start us off....................

I like ZamZams in Haight and Astbury in San Francisco on a Sunday afternoon.

The Waldorf Astoria in NYC for a cocktail in old style, slightly faded glamour.

The cocktail lounge in the Peppermill Diner on the strip in Vegas for a nightcap.

Cafe Luso in the Barrio Alto district of Lisbon, Portugal. Bottle of red, live Fado music and dimly lit 60s elegance.

The Pub on The Park in Hackney, East London. Needs a new owner who will love it as much as the old one used to but unbeatable in the summer and romantic in it's way.

The Continental Bar, South Congress, Austin, Texas. Any date who doesn't get it really shouldn't see me again, it'd be futile.

The Trocadero in Hollywood-where in ye olden days headline musical acts would go to test their new songs. For a few bucks I've seen Linda Ronstads (on roller skates in a Boy Scout uniform) Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, Brian Wilson, George Carlin and on and on. Don't even know if it's still there anymore.

I meant if nightling and Trixie and Roxy and Melincali and other wimmenz from ehA are in my neck of the woods, I'd take all of you barhopping!

I feel a bit of an idiot now...... or a lush.

I thought we'd all post the names of bars and find we'd been in some of the same bars and go 'ooooh, small world' and I just look like a passport show off with a drink problem.

Bad Trixie. Bad.
