Are you type "A" or "B" ??

Which type works best for you in a relationship??

Why does one type work better versus the other??

There are different answers for everyone and I am curious to see what works for people here.

You are talking personality? Then I'm a type A personality because I tend to be very analytical and anal. I procrastinate like you wouldn't believe but I'm also a perfectionist. I stress out easy but, emotionally I hold everything in, although I'm getting better with that. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not an emotional person but i am also a calm person, at least on the outside.
I was married to a Type B personality and we got along quite well, although we were both stubborn and emotional so our fights could be quite vocal. I think I still feel I fit well with a Type B personality because they tend to be more spontaneous, which is what i need and I tend to be calmer, which is what they need. Type B is also more organized than I am so that helps me get motivated....and the list of balances goes on from there.

I'm a bit of both. Go to bed late (after midnight) and get up early (07am). I've never needed more than 5 or 6 hours sleep.

When I was in a relationship he went to bed at 10pm and slept for 8 hours. It took me some time to sleep for that long and I was a bit restless until I got used to it. Also, I'm full of energy in the morning whereas he was very quiet and needed time to wake up. When the relationship ended I quickly got back to my usual hours.

Well this is interesting and it is really a matter of each individual persons make up. I am a type "A", and rarely sleep more than about 4 hours, definitely a morning person and the earlier the better.

I am not nearly a perfectionist on as many things as I used to be, I have managed to adjust that down and that is good. I can procrastenate if I choose to because working close to a deadline seems pretty easy for me.

The best matches for me personality wise is a person who is also a strong type "A". Work and friends are not the same as a relationship where the communication is on a deeper level

My patience is very long and that is a real plus for me. I rarely get upset or run around all up tight. Calm is always good.

Type A individuals can be described as impatient, time-conscious, concerned about their status, highly competitive, ambitious, business-like, aggressive, having difficulty relaxing; and are sometimes disliked by individuals with Type B personalities for the way that they're always rushing. They are often high-achieving workaholics who multi-task, drive themselves with deadlines, and are unhappy about delays. Because of these characteristics, Type A individuals are often described as "stress junkies."

I'm a B personality, fo' shizzle.

I can't imagine myself with a Type A ...that person would literally drive me insane.

At first glance, I thought it was blood type =)

I am O+. I wonder why eHarmony doesn't make that it's 30th dimension of compatibility? ...I mean, you wouldn't want to be stuck with someone the rest of your life if they couldn't give you their blood ...=)

This is a good one. I've had my share of blood suckers

To the original post....I would say I range in the B+ and A- range on any given day. I can appreciate the need for some organized chaos in my life and I could never be a perfect A even on those days when I've gotten a full night's sleep Maybe that is what happened to my EH match...somehow he fell through the cracks of the system...now I just have to figure out where he landed

I'm definitely a type "B" person (Parrothead...wasting away in Margaritaville!) but I am strangely attracted to Type "A"s. My relationships with type "A"s have been beneficial for the most part, I have a way of getting them to stop and smell the roses and they tend to help me get my priorities in focus.
