I don't assume a guy should pay .... they just always do. I always offer and they so far have never let me put my hand in my pocket. I don't see anything wrong with that as it is a sign of interest on their part. No need to get riled up over it.

So you have no interest on your part?

She does. If she didn't let him pay, that means she wasn't interested in him..or if she let him pay, she could also be interested in him. I think....it's one of those.

I don't know. I'm getting confuzzled myself.

I think that a date implies some romanticism.

If the meeting contains some idea of romance then I would call it a date.

If it goes straight to being like having dinner with my sister then I would call it a meeting or just dinner.

I like this answer.

I've come to calling any meeting a "meeting," after having been on this service.

"Date" has come to make me feel like it makes the woman a second-class citizen.
Wow, the power of fruit.

How do raisins make you feel?

*CO ponders whether a raisin would promote or demote a woman*

I like dates better than raisins.

Do you like prunes?

OK. I fruitinize this for ya:
A raisin is a meeting
A prune is an expanded meeting
A date is a date
A passion fruit is further down the road ... (consumated)

I don't doubt that ... but I wouldn't advertise it either.
