The subject is implied.

For example, you said *thinks that's right* as opposed to *to think that's right*, which is the form of the verb you used in French.

'Thinks' is a third person present tense conjugation.
hmm I guess I thought "is sending" would just be envoyer, with is understood. But from what you are saying it should have been "est envoyer?"

'Envoyer' is 'to send'
'est envoyer' does not exist. There is an 'est envoye(e)', but that is past tense for 'is sent'.
You can't always translate each word individually. The present tense in French does not have any form of the verb to be in it. Just like the infinitive in French does not include the preposition 'to'.
The correct form for the present tense of the verb 'to send' would be 'envoie'

envoyer = to send
envoie = am sending/is sending

OK what about thinking

*thinking this, thinking that*

*penser ci, penser ca* wouldn't be right?

What would you conjugate it based on?
*trying to understand*

Your infinitive is 'to think'
'Thinking' (with the auxiliary verb 'is/am/are) is a present tense conjugation.
So, it would be 'pense' i.e. the present tense.

What's confusing you is
a) the fact that the English infinitive has an auxiliary preposition
b) one form of the present tense in English (I can't remember what it's called) uses the auxiliary verb 'to be' in its conjugations.
In French, and in many other languages, there is no preposition in the infinitive, and there is no auxilliary verb in the present tense conjugation.

'penser' = 'to think', not just 'think'
'envoie' = 'am sending/is sending', not just 'send'. It can also mean 'sends'.

English has more than one form of the present, which may be adding to your confusion. French doesn't differentiate between 'I send kisses' and 'I am sending kisses'. They're both present tense.

Instead of trying to translate each individual word you need to be conjugating based on grammatic structure of that particular language. So if you want the third person present tense of a verb, you need to use the third person present tense of the verb - in that language, using that language's structure.

It gets real fun in Slavic languages where nouns have different endings based on their role in the sentence. If you're stepping into a bus, or sitting in a bus, or going somewhere by bus, the word 'bus' will have three different endings
