hmm mine had English words in the back cross referenced to the french in the front. It's a very large book. Maybe I got a special edition?
And it's 'Larousse de Poche'?

It might be a special edition for Americans. Mine has the regular dictionary stuff, then a section with proper nouns, and then a section on grammar. No English anywhere.

Even French in Canada varies based on region. My French is kind of middle-of-the-road/slightly colloquial. Then there's joual. I don't think a Parisian would understand much of that. 'Je suis' sounds like 'shue'.

There's a French Canadian playwright (Michel Tremblay) who writes his plays phonetically in joual. If you're trying to read one of his works, you *have* to move your lips when reading. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

You know I have two French books for translation and it is quite likely I have them confused. I'm not looking at them at the moment, and actually haven't looked at them for years.

You can have them all ... not very into blueberries ...

Which is ... OK ... more fudge for me, more blueberry for you.

You made me crave chocolate and I'm out of M&Ms.
I have a 5 oz. Hershey's milk chocolate bar sitting beside me (cereal).

Beautiful dreams. Beau. Reve.

mmmm chocolate.

You know french for chocolate is chocolate.

It's also chocolate in Spanish too.
Well, technically French for chocolate is 'chocolat'

Can't comment on the Spanish.

In Czech it's chocolada (spelled sort of phonetically). I can't remember the Russian or Italian words, but I have a funny feeling they're similar.
