hmm mine had English words in the back cross referenced to the french in the front. It's a very large book. Maybe I got a special edition?

Even French in Canada varies based on region. My French is kind of middle-of-the-road/slightly colloquial. Then there's joual. I don't think a Parisian would understand much of that. 'Je suis' sounds like 'shue'.
