yeah, that's what I'm familiar with as the verb as well. But normally when some asks for a kiss they don't say "Embrasse moi" They say "Donne moi un bec"

I don't think I've ever heard anyone use any other word for kiss (noun). Of course, that may just be colloquial Quebecois.
Well I was taking it in college. She was a native speaker, but I am sure she taught us more formally. We were taught to say Embrasse-moi for kiss me. Donne moi un bec makes sense too. Sort of like saying give me a peck?

I haven't had the chance to use my French in a long long time. Thanks.

Yeah, I was wondering if perhaps that was a type and meant to be 'since three months' which is the equivalent of 'for the past three months'

That should teach you; don't drink and translate

Exactly. And yes, in school you would have been taught a more formal French. There would also be variations based on where your teacher was from. Parisian French is very different. Although I did take French in school and had the pleasure of learning all the grammar etc., most of my knowledge of French is the spoken language. I'm not sure if I got all the spelling right, but I know what it's supposed to sound like

Not gonna happen tonight ... I am, oddly, enjoying the taste of this beer.

Scary.

She was Parisian. We talked a little about French in Canada, but not much. Madame Chamier. Lovely lovely woman.
