Hi Everybody, I'm new to the boards but not to the other side. I've been over there for a year now.

My random fact... I love to read, I have over 1000 books in my apartment, I can sit down with anything and be content. Most recently it's been "What if" histories.
I got out of the military 6 months ago and I'm finding it a bit awkward to be on the civilian side again, hopefully school takes care of that.

D_Lion... um, can I pass my kiss on to someone else?

Oh yeah. Go Yankees!

Nice to know you like reading.

What kind of books do you like reading and what are some of your favourite books?

I literally read anything, it started with Fantasy (still my favorite genre) and that just opened the door to everything else. I've read a lot of philosophy and theory (don't understand half of it) poems, westerns, fiction and non-fiction. History and alternate histories... if there are words in between covers than I'll read it My favorite books are the Wheel of Time series... I'm a bit of a nerd!

lol, you sound alot like me when I was younger.
I used to read lots of fantasy books too.

Then there was this period of time I got stuck on these adventure series where you'd read the book in 'first person' and you could choose what you wanted to do by flipping to page 'xx' and see the outcome from there.
(i.e The winds are blowing on your face. You enjoy the light breeze, rejuvenated. Suddenly, you spot a busty maiden running towards you, her eyes bulging in horror!
If you want to help her, turn to page 5. If not, turn to page 32.)

I now prefer books about religion, philosophy and autobiographies; I've tried reading those really 'serious' thesis types and they really bog my brain out so I'm not going to tell you I actually found them very interesting.
But the ones which were written in layman's terms are those I really do enjoy.

Nah, Its good to have a little nerd hiding within someone. Makes for more interesting conversation because there's always something new to learn and share.

Ha! I remember those choose your own adventure books! I usually died within the first 10 pages, I always looked into the deep, dark cavern that smelled of sulfur...

Omg, same here.
Don't tell anyone, but I died many times within the first and second choices and just reread the whole thing without telling anyone, then told my childhood friends of yesteryear I read through the whole thing at "one go".
Riiight.

Pfft.
I like your positivity towards a strange person asking random people if they would like to date him, Jo.
