Bottom line, you will not escape the need to solve problems, regardless of whether the seniorita is too young for "baggage." You are simply exchanging one set of potential problems for another.

Glad you made it through your ordeal with that attitude.
Looking back it is kinda like childbirth, you forget the pain. All you remember is the good things that came from it.

not all the time, but I do think younger woman/older man* go bad far more often than younger man/older woman.

ETA: *the reason i think that is the balance of power in the relationship is skewed to far in one direction.

i don't have ex-husband baggage either, FWIW.
It is equally difficult the other direction, Scarlett, but for different reasons.

I've done both myself. 14 years difference one way and 15 the other. Actually, I very much enjoyed and valued both relationships...though of course there were differences.

No, because in your case, JayJay - they will be comparing you to "daddy". lol!!

Well....many of them do have at least one type. A large percentage of the 19 year olds where I am already have kids.
Hm... if you are ok with your dates comparing you to their daddy, are you prepared for their babies to view you as another grandfather?

I seem to be in the mood for pushing buttons today. Sorry. ... but not sorry enough to not post this.

My favorite childbirth story was when I was in labor with my youngest. I had the same nurse that I had with the last. She goes, I remember you, you are the woman that didn't cuss me out when I told you it was too late for an epidural. I asked if cusing would have made the pain stop, she said no, then what would have been the point?

most of the 19 year old girls i've encountered are huge PITA's. why anyone would want to be in a relationship with them is beyond me.
