The same thing happen to me, and found she was from Africa. What I did was I gave her my personal email address, and ask her for her photo and run her IP address through a special system I have. Remember if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!

Good luck
How would you do that..? By looking at the headers in the e-mail..?

Neither do I but that does not stop the whole thing being odd.
The point is absent of anything bad it tends to be something innocent. You would be amazed the things I have done because i had no idea it would send up a red flag to someone.

Love at first sight? Can't always go by the pictures! Remember too many scam artists out there on the internet.

Ah ha oh sorry, you have no way to find my IP address. What you will get is my routers IP address. It will tell you I am where ever my ISP is located. I have friends that will disguise things intentionally, only the government using subpoenas can find out who they are. Why are you scaring the poor guy.

Did an IP Trace (call me paranoic now..!) and the location is from where I expect it to be. No issues on this front.

a good reason to take the photos down might be to slow down other matches? I dunno, it's a puzzler. Why not just ask her and see what she says?

Silly!

Seriously, though. To the OP, why don't you ask?

It's the only way you're really going to find out.

Asking outright is the only logical option I think at this stage. But unless she throws some bizarre excuse I assume it would be a bit difficult to slice truth fom faking. So maybe I will need to bite the dust of a meet. If it does not turn up as expected, I can walk out within 5 minutes.
