Here is your problem with that idea. Baggage as defined and relevant to this topic is intangible things that get in the way. If you are aware of what one may consider baggage and do not allow it to change your decision it does not get in the way. If it does not get in the way it no longer fits the definition of baggage. Plus awareness also make it tangible as you can define it, set properties to it, etc.
