I know what you mean, LOL. I got a glass splinter the other day, which I managed to get out. Upon telling my BF he insisted I go to the hospital. I refused of course, I told him I would only get it checked out if it starts to get infected. He didn't seem too thrilled with that idea.

I'll be at Bert's Backyard this weekend and may even participate in the drum/dance shakedown...if anyone in the San Antonio area is interested it's a free event/free parking going on this Sunday from 3 p.m. to sundown (3602 Ave. B/Mulberry)....now if I can only get my EH profile to find me a nice gentleman to attend this event with...all would be right with the world

Nada for both weekends, except for consuming pumpkin lattes while surfing online. It has been too rainy every weekend to do many of the typically fun fall things this October.
Aaahhh, I hope to do some relaxing and consuming of yummy things like pumpkin lattes this weekend! But sorry the weather near you is not agreeing with you

Last weekend, we went out for a motorcycle ride on Saturday. On Sunday, we went shopping for his business clothing.

This weekend, we probably will stay home watching college football. My date is thinking about flying to New Orlean for a weekend getaway. I am not very thrilled because I don't like him paying for everything. But I am afraid that he may feel uncomfortable if I suggest paying my part. Guys are tricky.

Oh wow! I did miss ya Lori! Now I get to tell ya bout las weekend and this weekend's plans lol

Last weekend my guy came an met me at work, then followed me home so I could care for the animals then he took me out lookin for Halloween Costumes, then a couple other places, an then took me to dinner again. Yay! He dont like to decide on anything when we go out, so I kinda made him pick dinner since he never chooses! LOL

Then we went an goofed off in Wally world (again) an back to my house where were snuggled up an watched a movie (he fell asleep half through it an then woke up near the end)
With his 'power' nap under his belt he was ready to goof off an got the bright idea that it'd be fun to chase me round my house in the dark an Tickle me at 3:30am!!
He knew from earlier conversations that I cant stand to be chased or tickled lol, the chasin freaks me out to the point of .. well freakin out lol... an the ticklin... well tickles LOL
So yea I have to admit that I've not laughed or ran around an dodged someone like that In Forever! It was an awesome time, even though I am a cheater I suppose because after callin a Truce, we laid down on the couch to catch our breath an ... I tickled him, till he started on me again an then I was like TRUCE!! Remember TRUCE!! LOL Then I got a neck rub an later he went home.
Fun Times.

He came back over on Sunday an we jus chilled visiting until late an it was nice, I got more hugs . Still no kisses
I'm still tryin to figure if he wants me to initiate that or if he's waitin to work up the courage.

We went out again las night, he took me to dinner and a movie
I picked the movie Paranormal Activity, an he picked dinner TGIFridays. The food was awesome since I've not ate there before, I was surprised how good it was. An the movie scared the begeeses outta me but I got to hug up to him so it was all good lol I think he
laughed more than he got scared since he was waitin for my reaction to the scary parts so he could laugh. lol

Saturday he's comin to my Halloween Costume Party, all adults, with a lil drinkin an dancin an maybe some card playin dependin on how things go lol Its gonna be fun. I have an awesome costume an he told me his an I think I'ma like it.

He'll probably stick around for the night, an hang out on sunday since there will be drinkin. I'll let ya'll know how it all goes if ya wanna hear more?

Happy Halloween gouls an gobblins! Be safe an have Fun!

Last weekend I went to the iHobby expo with the BF. I kinda went with low expectations as I'm not into model planes, trains and cars. It ended up being more fun than I expected. It was fun to see him get so excited about model trains, and then I started to get a bit excited too. I also came to the realization that a future with him means a ginormous train set in the basement...and I'm actually ok with that.

This weekend it's my turn to pick what we do, so we're going to a corn maze and then we're going to carve pumpkins. Now that I think about it I suppose I ought to buy some candy for the 6 trick-or-treaters I'll get this year.

Wow, those are some fun weekends you had! My cousin was super into trains and had the whole train set thingy going in his basement for a while. It was pretty cool but I was young and kind of bratty so I used to torment him by moving his stuff around and derailing the train.

Hope your team won this weekend, mine did not

Guys ARE tricky but I think just be honest about how you feel. Seriously, given what I have heard from so many guys I would think they'd be glad for their lady friend to pitch in with costs a bit. Plus if he's the one for you he'll respect your feeling about it and let you contribute if it will truly make you feel better.

Sounds like you and your new guy are having FUN! Hope this weekend's plans go well -- if still no kisses, maybe just ask him, or even come right out and TELL HIM "I'd love it if you would kiss me!"

Guys, what do you think of that idea?

Last weekend?
Car, meet rock.
Wallet, meet repair costs.
yeah.
Ooooh no!!!! So sorry to hear it LDG. I share your pain, my car just needed 4 new tires....OUCH!

Hope this weekend is better for you!

Sounds like a great vacation, Lori. And of course we missed you, duh!

I had a nice weekend since my daughter was home from college.

I recently saw the end of a confusing, complicated "relationship" (for want of a better word!) which left me feeling somewhat blue. It was inevitable but sad nonetheless. We'd had a break (and we all know that is never good) so during that time I was online albeit half-heartedly. One of the guys who I was talking with suggested we meet up today for a walk at a nearby nature reservation. What a tonic! Great conversation so after an hour and a half we were back at our cars when he suggested we carry on our conversation over coffee during which we set up our second (first?!) date on Saturday.
Great that you got to spend time with your daughter and that you had an interesting new date which led to another! Let us know how date #2 goes.

I'm sorry about the end of the other relationship but if it was confusing and complicated, the ending is probably for the best. NOT that it makes it any easier but we can at least take comfort that in getting rid of what's not working in our romantic lives, we make room for what WILL work.

Keep us posted!

Lori did you bring us all back t-shirts from vaca?

Finally I can post I had a date this past weekend...

Okay.. I'm lying.. it wasn't actually a real "date". I've been spending some time with a girl who is a single mother.(meet on Eh) She has a 7 month old baby boy. We had a date planned for friday night. The babysitter had cancelled. So rather than cancel the date entirely. I suggested she and the little one (dog too) come over my house for dinner and a movie. I made dinner and then I ended up babysitting because she fell a sleep during the movie. (yes the capt can change diapers!)

Anyways we get along great. Have a lot in common, I enjoy the conversations we have, but I'm having my doubts. May have to start a thread on that!
Awwww, that sounds like a sweet date! And the falling asleep is the kind of story you'd tell over and over again -- if you guys move forward. Any update on that?

Another date this weekend, we are going to a show fri and then on sat halloween party with friends. I have been dating this guy for a month now, we are seeing each other quite a bit! He doesn't seem to be seeing anyone else, but I am keeping my options open until he says he wants to see just me only.
NICE! Glad to hear that things are going well! Let us know how the Halloween party is

Years ago, I went to a friend's house for tea and I was looking at the walls thinking to myself what it shame it was with all the mouse holes in the walls. Until I spotted they were all uniform and perfectly shaped. Hang on a minute! The man of the house was deadset keen on trains and had carved holes in the walls so his train tracks (which were not in place when I visited) could go over the entire house.

Now, that's dedication to your hobby! LOL
