I have seen threads about guys being players. So what about when women are players. I know all my friends do this, I have elevated to an art form. Giggly interest in the cable guy or any other paid by the hour repair guy.

You play it right you can get almost all your bill taken care of. I really could care less about the repairs done to my house but if I listen to the guy tell me all about how smart he is knowing how to run cable. Well all the bill ends up outside the house work and I get an little bill.

One time I didn't have the time to play around because I had to install my dishwasher while they ran the gas line to the stove. Apparently there are not many women installers so this amused them enough that again little bill.

I don't think that guys outside of the repair field have a problem with this because my ex-boyfriend used to have me meet his repairman as well to get his bill down. Not sure what this says about men.

What do you all think?

I have never met a woman face to face that would make such a comment. I think everyone does it, I am just conscious of it because one I don't have a "dumb blond" personality and two I could do the install myself if I had the time.

Before you judge me harshly consider on a phone install this saved me over $1,200. It was a nightmare.

I have found the rationale is that you are screwing the utility not the person doing the install. Meh, what ever helps them sleep at night.

Most males when hit on and presented with the illusion of sex will do most anything. I know I've fallen prey to it once or twice... or more

I have no problem playing the dumb girl..it just seems to come naturally for me. lol!!

If I don't know something, I have no problem asking for help in getting it done. And if that takes smiling to do it, no problem, I would be giving the smile away anyways.

As for write-offs, nah - I never feel comfortable with that and do not accept unless insisted upon. But if you want to help me with that plumbing thingy, I have no problem accepting the help!

Not very lady like? Are you saying this is a man's area. I thought screwing utilities was just as American as screwing the IRS. Oh sorry, minimizing one's tax liability.
