I thought this thread was about playing like you were the Cable Guy. You know, for role playing or Halloween or something.

Guess I was wrong. Anyway, I read the posts here while keeping in mind that my Cable Guy was coming today. Thinking thinking thinking ..... Should I have a plan?

This morning comes and I wake up late and feeling sickish. One brusk voicemail from said CGuy that I missed. I had called the company last Friday because ALL my stations were FfFfUuUZZzzYyy.

Oh well, hope he fixed it.......

I back my car out of the garage and there is another CGuy. He comes up to me smiling. ( I am late and sick--so I think "Oh no! I'm going to make a BAD impression.")

I try to smile back. He says there is something wrong with my connection and he can fix it outside of my house. I thank him and apologize for not coming out sooner. I explain I'm not feeling well. He is still smiling, backs up and says he understands. I thank him again and drive away.

Btw, I don't really need CableTV at all. But my church has a channel where I can see all our services and it carries some old '60's sitcoms on it, too. I just get the very basic, basic service--- about $15.00 a month.

When I came home this afternoon and turned on the TV set --WOW! I have about 50 more stations than my usual 15 !

Is it dishonest for me keep these extra channels?

No I don't think so.
You're not stealing it. if it's their mistake..depends on the how the law is written I assume
If you just got your box reset sometimes it can takes a few hours/days to kick in, eventually they will catch on. They also could be on a promotion weekend or month that gives subscribers a free look at different packges. My cable company does that a lot.

No box. Unless you are talking about something outside my house having to do with the Cable Company's cable. I think he said my connection was loose and he was going to tighten it. Beats me.

Thanks for your input, Capt.

Ohh, JSBach...what a great idea!!! Let's nominate cable guys...I pick the Captain to be my cable guy.

He can work on my box anytime!

Oh yeah, the THUD !
That happened later in my classroom. With the children surrounding my lifeless body. Picture Gulliver' Travels.

Thanks for the thought, though.

Whaa who, I mean, I had a great idea? Moi? Nope, I think it was you!

Lizzie, if it's all the same to you, the Captain is already MY cable guy.
How 'bout you get Saul?

It's true what they say about cable guys, UPS drivers, the Sparklets man, the pool boy and the plumber. Go ask them yourselves; they will gladly tell you their most incredible experiances.

I personally don't see anything wrong with flirting to get a lower bill, but don't be too surprised if the poor horny guy comes one day, drops his pants and wants to know if you can lay some pipe for real. Just go with it! After all, its harmless flirting, right?

Good luck ladies.

I don't think that guys outside of the repair field have a problem with this because my ex-boyfriend used to have me meet his repairman as well to get his bill down. Not sure what this says about men.
What do you think it says about you?
