LizziePooh,

I think you are missing that I have quite a lot of screens ... it is likely that I have an outlying view toward economic equity and a tendancy to post often on that subject (which is itself one of the most common topics), that causes you to see it as more substantial than other screens.
Just make sure, D, that these are not set upright, all around you.

I call that a box.

I am not that unusual.

And if it is statistics you require, they are out there. You'll find that most rapes are date rapes. It's usually someone the girl knows.
Trust doesn't make someone a victim. I am very trusting but I have never been a victim. It is being a victim that makes you a target. I don't know if I can explain it. No I know I can't. Perhaps it comes to what you feel trust is. I think to me trust is the willingness to explore the nature of the person I am speaking with without walls in the way.
Nightling, you responded to this in a very classy way. Props to you.

Jo: I think you do judge the world. I think you judge the world based on your experience. I think it's great that you haven't been a victim. I hope you will develop the capacity to comfort those that have. It is also a very liberating experience. The development of capacity, I mean.

Baggage - we all have it. We hopefully take the things that are important to us, or that we need, to get through life. That's what baggage is. Some of us need a whole suitcase. Some of us need a T-shirt. Some of us need a hole to crawl into. DL has a collection of amphibians in his suitcase.

Issues: when your baggage takes you where it wants to go = you want to be happy but you don't know how (and other manifestations)

On another note, comparing car accidents and rape is really ridiculous.

Actually most people come to me for comfort. I just want people to do all they can to not be victims. You know I do all the right things to never be a victim of a crime. I still could be a victim. Not sure if you have ever been around someone who is mentally ill or on drugs. Does not matter who you are they will attack.

I am a very complicated person. There are those I have no sympathy for and yet I cry for homeless people. I have doubts there is a person on earth that will ever understand me except for my children. I just keep looking for that guy who will accept that the clouds could look like Warren Buffet(which is another story).

Not so much generalizing as not specific enough. Sorry about that. Some criminals look for victims based on ease of the crime. Those that are impaired for one reason or another will not choose a crime of convience. This is of course if they are inclined to commit a crime. Does that help? I am distracted with work at the moment so I may still not be clear.
