Hey! Ok - so Ive been out with this guy 3 times since last Friday. Things were going well but wet a bit further than it should have last night. Physically. We didn't sleep together or anything but ya..a bit much for a 3rd date. We've already discussed it and agreed that the physical needs to go on the back burner for now.
We have plans to get together this Saturday - but we obviously dont want to find ourselves in another situation like last night. So obviously a very public date is in order!
We've already done dinner 3 times - and thats fine to be a part of it - but we need something else thats not toooo expensive - but still fun and will keep us interacting on a platonic-ish plane.
I was thinking a drive to Banff (a town in the mountains about 90 min from Calgary). Or maybe bowling. But I'm not much more creative than that.

Any ideas?

go dancing. sometimes you can find places that offer free lessons early in the evening, then you can dance all night.

Do a ghost tour or something that gets you outside walking around. Where I live there a lot of these tourist type things, but they can be fun for locals too (in fact I'm doing this on a date tomorrow night if it doesn't rain).

Pack a picnic dinner and go somewhere semi-public.

Pick a new part of town to explore and walk around to see what catches your eye.

I vote for bowling. I love that game and not enough people to do it.

I also personally favor the old old bowling alleys not the spiffy new upscale ones.

Batting cages are cool too!

Aren't you a wee bit bothered that you can't come up with an idea on your own? We don't know anything about your interests or what's available where you live.

If you want to keep it platonic and not get tempted, stay in the public eye (i.e. rendezvous at a store or cafe) and wear lots of clothing layers. No makeup or sexy lingerie. Make it a daytime date. No dark movie theaters. No warm embraces. And don't head to each other's place!!!

How about a museum and/brunch? Or a walk along a park trail or riverwalk or ocean or pier. Stroll the stores downtown or in a local neighborhood. Go for a run or a bike ride.

(Keep looking at the hawt Lance Armstrong muscle ads on the right and you may be able to shift your lust elsewhere - LOL )

You live in Canada...

You two should go to a lake and do some walleye fishing!
One of the best dates I went on was to Ikea. I called her and said "I have to make a cookie run and Ikea has the best cookies in the world and I'd like you to join me." True, Ikea was 50 miles away; but never the less, they have great cookies. Just go to some large store like that and do some browsing, grab some coffee and people watch.

Ouch!
I'm not exactly a dating guru - and funds are a bit limited...and the weather isn't all that great here either so it limits ideas.
But thanks tips
