I received this message from another on-line dating site. It is very odd and quite scary...never received something like this before even chatting with someone. The e-mail goes as follows:

"Heaven Sent,

How are you doing and how was your day...I was having a bad month a bad couple of weeks, actually an all around bad year, so one day I signed online and for the first time i saw your lovely face, but everything in my heart told me you are the one!!! I want a woman that is not too hurt and not too hard to trust again and can give herself to a Man to be loved and taken care of in a way that will bring joy of life and an appreciation she will look forward to every day. There is a lifestyle of marriage in the Lord that gives life and purpose to being married and can really be enjoyed. I am looking for that quality of marriage are you? We can talk more on yahoo if you don't mind and here is my yahoo im....morgan_jack101 at yahoo dot com.

Hope to read from you soonest...Love always.."

LOL. I wonder if he sent a mass e-mail to all women that attracted his attention? So odd. Would any of you respond to this or close asap? Has anyone received anything like this? I am inclined to close...due to how odd it is.

Whenever I see a private email address in a first message the first thing I think is.....scammer. Someone that wants email addresses to send spam to or some such similar thing.

9 will get you 10 this is a scammer. He lures you in with promises of love, then you start sending him money to help him get to the US to see you. But you keep encountering road block after road block along the way to "helping" him get over here, until finally you realize it's a shell game and you've been had.

Or any of 1001 variations on the theme.

Hi Mari,

Based on my experience on that other dating site, it's a mass emailing or they ultimately turn out to be "Russians or contractors in Nigeria." Their profiles say they earn the big bucks, but within a couple of emails or YM chats, they're asking for money because their son or daughter needs emergency medical care.

Personally, I'd close. However, if you're feeling adventuresome, respond to find out how it unfolds.

Because you are a woman dating online? Sadly, it's as simple as that...
