now, i may be deluded but think i'm reasonably attractive, but maybe not the "bring home to mom" type. so my biggest disappointment in Match was that i felt a lot of the men contacting me were interested in me until they found wife material.

i didn't have much success on EH either, though. maybe i'm too "alternative" for EH, but too much of a hopeless romantic for Match.
aww ... I don't think you should take it personally. I've not had much luck here either. If you think about it, finding one special person should be kind of difficult. If it were easy, they wouldn't be special.

3. Winks are the same as IceBreakers. Non-paying members can send a wink.

Wow, I did not know that non-paying members can send a wink. Maybe that's why when one sent a wink to me today, and I sent one back, there was no email from him following this winking.

Thanks for taking time to tell me this!!!!!!

There are only 2 differences: 1 is freedom. Match allows you to browse profiles and determine for yourself, while you are only allowed to see the profiles eHarmony allows you to see.

2 is price.

I didn't realize match.com was a paying site or that you could join this one w/o paying. I joined this one bc I thought you had to pay to be a member and I thought that might cut down on dealing w a lot of silly games that I feel I'm too old to play.

Oh well ... so much for that idea. lol

I guess it's all a little bit like fishing. A person should join both to see what's there.
nightling the real EHarmony relationship site is a pay site. This is just a eharmony's message board/forum, which is free.

Your comment reminds me of what Charlotte York in Sex in the City said: "I've been dating since I was 15. I'm exhausted! Where is he?"

I feel the same way, too. I feel like I don't have time for this, and yet I feel like I can't give up.

Right, I know that ... I was talking about the dating site. I didn't know people could be in it without paying first.
