How was everyone's weekend?

Who had a date this weekend and how did it go?

My weekend was fun but busy. Me and my best friend went to the eHarmony summer company event on Saturday - it was at the horse races, and it was fun! I won on the first horse race I ever bet on (won $1 -- WOO HOO) but then the second race I bet on I lost $2 (waaaah) AND, worst of all, two of the horses in the race were injured....one broke his foot right in front of us, and it broke my heart. Had to leave after that.

Other than that ran errands, worked on my screenplay which is coming along nicely, worked out, went to a flea market, relaxed, watched movies and of course, worked a bit.

I had a first date....we bucked all the rules.

He picked me up at my place. We went out to dinner. We probably drank a little too much. It was way more than 2 hours.

It was fun. I think I'm seeing him again this weekend.

Saturday morning, I had as much luck as Lori did playing the horses, playing the penny and nickel slots at the local casino. After that I went home, packed up my gear and headed down the shore. My "date" was on Sunday. My fly fishing club has been working with a breast cancer survivor support group, Casting for Recovery, for a couple of years. They hold three day retreats limited to 14 women who are at various stages of recovering from breast cancer. The first two days they are taught the basics of fly fishing by CFR instructors, and taking part in activities related to dealing with breast cancer.
The third day they get to fish, and it was my privilege to serve as a guide for a retired school teacher who was two years into recovery. We had a great couple of hours on the lake, ended up catching the most fish, 12 sunfish, before we stopped for lunch. Most of the women didn't want to come in for lunch.
It was blast and I'm looking forward to the next time I can serve as a guide.

dlion...it's really not that different from most of my first dates...actually. Except maybe the picking me up at my place, though it's not the first time either.

I had a third date on Thursday and a second date on Saturday. Both were fun, and although the third date asked me out a fourth, it hasn't materialized in a specific date/time so I'm not holding my breath. The second date I think realizes I'm not attracted to him, or at least that something was off. He was really interested but has backed way off. Back to the new prospects!

We went to the Field Museum like I said we would LOL. The Real Pirates exhibit was great. The day wore me out however and I passed out early while we were watching TV. He didn't mind though, seemed to like that I was using him as my pillow. So comfy.

Not sure what we're doing this weekend though. I think it's his turn to pick because I dominated the plans the last two weekends. I'm getting tired of hearing "Yes Dear" LOL

No dates for me this past weekend. Went out for a little country dancing Friday night. I did have one woman ask to see me Saturday night... but I already had plans for a dinner party with a few friends.

The woman-friend who had this party is one who lives in my apt. complex that I'll admit I'm tempted to have a physical relationship with her, though I don't think there would be any future for us. : /
